I always like to burn incense in my studio when I start a new painting,
it helps me focus - at this point the table is looking better than the painting !
As seed heads ripen and leaves slowly change colour, plants take on the golden glow
of late summer - and just occasionally there's whiff of autumn in the air .....
Thank you for visiting

I wish there was a hint of fall here! Just hot! Ha! Lovely blooms. Good idea to burn incense before starting a painting. I may try it. I do burn incense daily. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAh, I can relate to bringing the forest and the flowers in to play with. Enjoy your painting. I've joined you today from All Seasons linky party.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful seasonal images, there.s a touch of Autumn here too this week. h
ReplyDeleteHappy Mosaic Monday.

Much💞love
Hello, beautiful flowers an d nature images. Burning incense seems peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy your day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful almost-autumn images. Our weather took a little turn over the weekend and although it's not much cooler, there's whiff of autumn in the breeze. Bitter sweet.
ReplyDeleteLovely images and words - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of fall...or end of summer! All golden and brown. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI have never burned incense but I can well imagine that it would be helpful in focusing one’s mind. When you think of how many religions have used incense in various ways there seems to be an inherent other worldly quality to it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors! I haven't burned incense in many, many years but I do remember that it was quite relaxing.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteNice . Please visit my blog and tell something about my captures.
ReplyDelete...Ruby, your images of nature's treasures are always a welcomed sight! Back in the '60 in college incense was burned for another reason. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteVery creative post and lovely macro nature shots ~ smoke signals very colorful and textural!

Your photos are so artfully prepared … I have been taking a few photos around our acreage - berries and seed heads and the like - autumn will be here before we know it and even if we are not ready … thanks for sharing your talent with us.
ReplyDeleteEach vignette is perfection in itself and together a lovely ode to late summer. You create such beauty!
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I do like the reddish purple colour some leaves are turning. Out here in deepest country, there has been more than a whiff of autumn, for two weeks now!

The artfully decorated setting is more like of you, Ruby. I also like your senses for the late summer flowers and the subtle hint of autumn in the air. I was reminded how it was in late summer. Now November, but it has been abnormally warm. I wonder how our winter will be. Take care, and have happy days ahead.
