Our Fireweeds have done their thing already, too. I do like this season, tho, as it shows us new colors and textures. Nice capture and I hope the fly was happy that is was immortalized!
I love your blog and the philosophy behind it.... you take wonderful photos... I am researching my family history and my paternal grandfather's family came to the US from Scotland. It was great to celebrate big birthdays with a bagpiper.. and the stories..all the stories...Michelle

Beautiful fireweed - I love them when they are in bloom, but they are so beautiful with their seedpods as well.
