Stones are so fascinating. There's a rock beach we sometimes visit where I could spend hours picking up stones and admiring them. I used to fill my pockets with them but have finally learned to merely look at them (sometimes lick them to bring out the brilliance of their colours or patterns) and leave them in their natural habitat. mostly...
