Imbolg - Candlemas

In the Northern Hemisphere, we are now halfway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox,
and we welcome the returning light  ........

At the edge of a woodland, new growth stirs unseen beneath the surface  .......

The same area in August -  grasses, brambles, nettles and rosebay willowherb

Today   -   sunshine and blue skies ..........

  13. Winter has its own simple beauty in its muted colors and yes, something's happening underground to surprise us with pleasure in a few months. The days are getting longer. Your display of candles with sea shells looks magical and somewhat mysterious.

  18. Was going to make a second visit to your beautiful blog, to have a look around its wonderfully whimsical spaces, but you beat me to it, over at Poppy View!

Your macros are magical, and the floating candles and shells, so airy and light in that miniature pond, are little symbols of spring's upcoming light and warmth in a soothing bath of brightness.

    Wishing you a lovely week.

    Poppy
