Today's Offering of Bread

Celebrating the Divine Feminine  -  Day  Ten.

This morning I have no promptings for today's offering - then, while making bread I realize that this is it !!!

The altar cloth is an unfinished wall hanging titled  "This Quilt is Three Thousand Years Old ". The idea originated in a dream, in which my grandmother handed me a tattered  three thousand year old quilt. I see this as the handing down of skills and nurturing through the generations.

Wily fox adds an element of humor......she thinks there may be something here for her cubs !

  1. Do I dareday that I am starved for this bread. No I won't say that.(teehee) Actually this looks delish! Breadmaking is one of my happy times in the kitchen. I love the aroma of yeast, the way bread fills the house with it's scent, and at long last that first slice that just melts in your mouth. Sister I'm hungry.:)Thank you so much for this offering. As you can see, you've aroused my taste buds. Bless you.:) Take care.

    1. as she has me, Gloria! I don't bake bread because I'd be eating it all by myself, and I am not moderate in most things I do!

  7. Such inspiration! That was a very powerful dream and befitting that you honor it here with bread making - a craft that has been handed down since the time of Demeter, mother of the grain and the Eleusian mysteries

  8. Ruby, what a powerful dream your grandmother sent you! I hope you will post a picture of the quilt when it is finished.

Your bread looks delicious - love that old knife the little fox and the Matryoshka doll candle. Those dolls are one of my favorites!
